St Phillips Bakery

I find the convenience far outweighs the bakery - if it wasn't so close to home I certainly would not go out of my way to go there. I find the prices on the hot table always are based on who serves you (??) and sometimes the staff is not very friendly. can't believe the line ups for a place that has so many staff members walking around!
The worst experience I had was with the red velvet cake the WORST cake I ever tasted - I had purchased 2 cakes that week alone and owner offered a refund of gift certificates. Besides the cheesecake I will never order a cake from here again. Metro's cakes are amazing and half the price!

Horrible service from the staff and owners. 1 hour prior to my son's 2nd birthday, they refused.... ROB (the owner) refused to deliver a $450 cake. Why, because it was too far. How did they not know where the cake was being delivered to when I had placed the order 6 months earlier. I had to pay a taxi $250 to delivery to get the cake to the party. Both Rob and Joe refused to refund the delivery money. Also, my son's first birthday cake was dropped during delivery. If you want to take a chance with your order and suffer from stress and anxiety during your party... this is the place. I was extremely happy with my wedding cake. The whole party was astonished by the look of the cake. Easily the best Bakery in Toronto!!!

Great pastries, and breads, the bocadilo hot table is AMAZING....id like to see the pastry girls with alittle more manners....but its not st phillips fault...its woodbridges...all around a great place

First and last time I will ever order from this bakery, horrible customer service and the cake they gaved me was for my boyfriend 30th b-day, what a joke and no one did anything about it.

Extremely crusty bread, molded, and disappointing. The loaf I bought tasted like a slab of cardboard and looked like it, too. Lousy service from an amateurish staff and easily the worst bakery I have ever shopped at. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!

Their bread has somewhat changed recently. I had occasion to try some of their olive bread and some of their other types of buns and I must say that I was disappointed.
The bread is starting to taste less traditional Italian and more mangia cakey type breads. The olive bread tasted like toast bread with olives in it.
You should re evaluate your quality of bread, and I also find that the staff has some attitude. Am disappointed to say the least. As I fortunately don't live in that area, Woodbridge, and as I live in the City of Toronto, I prefer to frequent the more upscale french pastry shops where the cakes and pastries are top notch, and are not even in the same league as st. philips.

its beautiful to see such a strong italian presence in this bakery, we need to stick to our roots and enjoy the food our culture brings. Fantastic bread, and the zeppole are the best ive tasted in Toronto.

The food is great - the only thing I don't like is everytime I go in the hot table food always has a different price. Depends on who's serving you. Wednesday the meatballs were 2.00 each Thursday they were 2.50 each.

I hadnt been there in over 5 years until recently as I was out of the country. Still the best Bakery in Toronto. I had a strawberry sfoglia which was extremely fresh. thanks to everyone their for the great service.

THE FOOD I JUST HAD CATERED FOR MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY PARTY RECEIVED VERY HIGH REVIEWS FROM MY GUESTS ESPECIALLY THE TRAYS OF MIXED CANNELLONI AND TRAYS OF VEAL, JUST GREAT TASTE.

All I can say about St. Phillips is, when I don't want to cook dinner all I have to do is walk into St. Phillips in Woodbridge and pick something from their hot table and it is one of the best meals ever! The food is always tasty, fresh, hot and healthy. Yes, I said healthy, although people don't think Italian food is one of the healthiest meals, but St. Phillips cooks with very little grease and alot of taste. The prices are good and their portions are generous.....mmmm, that reminds me, I have nothing out for dinner, maybe it's time for me to go to St. Phillips tonight. Keep up the great work.

We had a party celebrating my husband's 40th Birthday. We had the food catered by St. Philips Bakery, lasagna, veal, chicken, etc. as well as the cake. The food surpassed all expectations as well as the freshness of the cake that was a huge hit. I want to thank all those involved in making my party a success.
